ANESTHETIC DURING CLEANING

Some people find dental hygiene treatment to be painless.  Others.... not so much.  If you fall into the second category, we can provide topical gel numbing for your gums.  In cases where sensitivity is extreme, a simple & quick injection of dental anesthetic can provide profound numbness wherever it's needed.  This means you get complete, thorough cleaning without the fear or frustration of pain. Pain control is used as needed (with your consent), and is free of charge.

SEALANTS

Nature creates teeth with a network of wrinkly grooves on the chewing surface. Some of these grooves are very deep, and difficult to clean. These deep areas are at risk of decay if they aren't sealed. A sealant is a tiny bit of white resin that is permanently placed into the bottom of the deepest groves in a tooth's chewing surface &/or sides. No anesthetic needed, this treatment is quick and painless.

EMERGENCY VISITS

If you are unable to reach your regular dentist or orthodontist, a hygienist can help in certain emergent situations.  Poking orthodontic (braces) wires can be trimmed, crowns can be temporarily recemented, and temporary filling material can be placed where appropriate until you can get to the dentist.  In more serious cases of oral infection or injury, when a dentist cannot be accessed, a hygienist can assess you or your child and help you to find your way to a local dentist or physician who can assist you further.
